Arizona

Arkansas

Arkansas grant money runs through AEDC. The SBIR match adds up to $100,000, and OSD training grants repay 50 to 75 percent of staff training costs.

California

California's biggest programme is a tax credit, not a grant, and its next window is January 2027. What is open today is STEP, with export vouchers of up to $10,000 until December 11, 2026.

Colorado

Connecticut

Illinois

Indiana

Indiana matches federal SBIR and STTR awards up to $150,000 lifetime. Two more grants cover staff training and export costs. INTAP is shut. Verified September 2026.

Iowa

Two Iowa grants are open now, an export grant repaying 75% up to $8,000 and a $75,000 SBIR match. Manufacturing 4.0 opens 4 January 2027, request its CIRAS assessment by 20 November 2026.

Kansas

Kansas Tourism has $1 million in Attraction Development grants running to October 16 and for profit companies win it. See what else a Kansas business can apply for.

Kentucky

Louisiana

Louisiana's two real grants are HIP, which pays back 18 to 22 percent of wages on a well paid new job, and STEP, which repays 90 percent of export costs up to $10,000. Everything else is training, certification or equity.

Maine

MTI Business Innovation Funding takes applications all year, capped at $100,000 per company. CDBG money goes to your town, not to you. Checked September 2026.

Maryland

Maryland Manufacturing 4.0 pays $25,000 to $500,000 and closes August 31, 2026. ExportMD pays up to $5,000 once a year. Purple Line round 3 opens September 29.

Massachusetts

One Massachusetts state grant is open, Business Builds for life sciences manufacturers, closing 1 October 2026. Plus EDIP tax credits, due 4 November 2026.

Michigan

Motor City Match Round 33 takes applications to October 1, 2026. MI-STEP is between rounds and reopens October 15. Match on Main and Industry 4.0 are shut.

Minnesota

The nine Minnesota state grant and incentive programmes we track, what each pays and which are open today. STEP export and Greater Minnesota training money is open. Both Launch Minnesota grants are gone.

Mississippi

New Mexico

New York

Two New York grants are open to a business today, both for exporters. Global NY pays back half an export project up to $25,000. Global NY STEP pays half of trade shows and missions, up to $10,000 a year. Most other grants here pay a town, not a business.

North Carolina

NC IDEA MICRO and SEED closed on 24 August and return in the spring. STEP pays back up to $12,000 of export costs, and the state SBIR grant reopened on 14 September.

North Dakota

The Agriculture Diversification Fund takes applications until October 1 and pays up to $500,000. Verified status for every North Dakota state grant, and who each one actually pays.

Ohio

Ohio TechCred opens October 1 to 30, 2026, up to $30,000 per employer, and IMAGE pays back half your export costs up to $10,000. The five JobsOhio grants are negotiated deals. Verified September 25, 2026.

Oklahoma

STEP is the Oklahoma grant an exporter can apply for today, worth up to $28,500 a cycle. OIEP opens 29 March 2027 and wants $625,000 of existing payroll. OCAST publishes no window at all.

Oregon

Oregon's two biggest state grants are shut. The money moving is in Portland, where the biggest open grant pays up to $300,000 toward a storefront fit out. Checked September 27, 2026.

Pennsylvania

Three Pennsylvania small business grants are open. The Small Business Advantage Grant reopened September 11, 2026 with up to $12,000 for energy projects, until March 19, 2027.

Rhode Island

The Innovate RI Small Business Fund is the only Rhode Island grant open. It pays up to $3,000 to write a federal bid, up to $150,000 to match one, and up to $6,500 for a life sciences or engineering intern.

South Carolina

A South Carolina business can apply for SC Export Incentives, six SCRA grants and staff training money. The Relentless Challenge closes on September 30, 2026 and bars small businesses.

South Dakota

In South Dakota the Jobs Program and Workforce Development training money are what a business applies for directly. Proof of Concept is a loan, not a grant.

Tennessee

Texas

Utah

The $200,000 Economic Assistance Grant takes applications from September 15 until 5 p.m. on September 30, 2026. Rural Utah employers can claim up to $6,000 per new job from REDI when its window reopens on November 1.

Vermont

Working Lands opens October 9, 2026 with $508,000 and no match required. What Elevate Vermont, VEGI, VTP, STEP and the Rutland grant actually pay, verified September 4, 2026.

Virginia

Washington

Washington STEP export vouchers pay up to $10,000, Paid Leave grants up to $3,000, and Clean Buildings incentives run to July 2027. The dairy digester round closed in December 2025. Verified September 28, 2026.

West Virginia

West Virginia's STEP export grant is open until 29 September 2027, up to $15,000. Verified status of every state programme, and which are credits or loans.

Wisconsin

Wisconsin Fast Forward pays $5,000 to $400,000 for worker training and closes at 3pm on October 5, 2026. WEDC also pays co-ops up to $50,000 in consulting fees.

Wyoming

The Kickstart grant is paused. What is open in Wyoming pays for training at $3,000 to $4,000 a trainee, safety at up to $10,000, and selling out of state at up to $4,000, plus a state SBIR match to $200,000.
