Stable Review 2026

Most write ups of Stable get this backwards, and Stable's own plan cards are why. The Grow card lists "basic mail actions" and says nothing about automation, so reviewers assume the $49 plan makes you click to open every letter. It does not. The full feature chart and the FAQ on Stable's pricing page both say every plan, Grow included, can open and scan the contents of your mail automatically at no extra cost. What Grow does not get is auto ship. Having physical mail forwarded without asking each time starts on Scale at $83 a month, and so do the Slack and Zapier integrations. When we read this page in July the chart and the feature list appeared to disagree and we told readers to get it in writing. Read again on August 21, 2026, they agree, and the answer is the generous one.

API access and webhooks come on every paid plan, which is unusual at this price. The native integrations do not. Stable's integrations FAQ says plainly that integrations are available on Scale and Custom, so the Slack alert most reviews sell as a Stable feature starts at $83 a month. Zapier, HubSpot, Notion, Asana, Dropbox, Microsoft Teams, and Google sit behind the same wall. AI summaries are on every plan and they flag junk usefully. If Slack is why you are buying, price the Scale plan.

Stable runs SOC 2 Type II and describes itself as a HIPAA compliant platform, with the signed BAA reserved for the Custom plan. Integration traffic uses TLS 1.2. Every action is logged. That matters if your mail carries tax notices, legal filings, or patient correspondence. The address is a real street address with a unit number, not a PO box.

Registering an LLC there and getting a bank to accept it are two different questions. Any address where a third party opens your mail needs a signed USPS Form 1583, which puts it on the commercial mail receiving agent list that banks screen against. Plenty of banks are fine with it. Some are not, so ask yours before you open the business account.

Stable sells no virtual phone number and no live receptionist on any of its 3 plans. There are no meeting rooms to book. There is no iOS or Android app either, so your phone gets the web dashboard, which works but is slow for quick actions. If phone answering and conference room access are what you need, a mailbox is the wrong product, and Stable does not pretend otherwise.

iPostal1 starts at $9.99 a month and cost us $149 for a first year, with thousands of physical locations you can walk into. Anytime Mailbox also starts at $9.99 and cost $145, with international addresses and a real mobile app. Stable is $588. That gap only makes sense if you are buying the compliance paperwork, the API, or the change of address handholding. For a mailbox that just holds mail, you pay roughly four times the going rate.

Stable holds physical mail for 30 days and packages for 15, then disposes of what you have not forwarded. Digital copies stay forever. That is a normal policy and it is also the one that catches founders who go quiet for a month. If you travel, set auto-ship or a calendar reminder. Auto-ship is a Scale feature, so on Grow the reminder is the plan.

Grow includes email support and the help center. Priority email and phone support ride with the dedicated account manager, which Stable lists on the Custom plan only, so a $49 or $83 customer emails and waits. Ratings are mixed by venue. Trustpilot sits at 4.3 from 34 reviews, Product Hunt at 4.6 from 10, and Stable's own site advertises 4.9 on G2 from 50 or more. Small samples all round, so read them as anecdotes rather than data.
