Email Editor and Templates

The drag-and-drop editor is genuinely easy to pick up. We built a test newsletter in under 15 minutes during our trial. Pre-made content blocks for headings, images, CTAs, and footers speed things up. Constant Contact offers 200+ templates, and some of the newer designs look modern.

The downside: customization is limited. You cannot fully control layouts, and several reviewers on G2 and Capterra report that the editor can be glitchy when working with multiple images or complex formatting. If you have specific design requirements or want pixel-level control, tools like MailerLite or Brevo give you more flexibility.

Automation and Segmentation

This is Constant Contact's genuine differentiator. The built-in event management feature lets you create event pages, collect RSVPs, promote events via email and social, and sell tickets with payment processing. Very few email marketing platforms include anything like this natively.

If you run workshops, fundraisers, local meetups, or conferences, this feature alone may justify the cost. Nonprofits and real estate businesses in particular have found this tool useful, based on user reviews we analyzed. For everyone else, it is a nice extra but not a reason to pay premium prices.

Deliverability

Constant Contact performs well on deliverability. Independent testing by EmailToolTester found it scoring around 88% deliverability on average across recent test rounds, placing it second out of fifteen providers tested. It landed 100% of emails in Yahoo, Outlook, Hotmail, and AOL inboxes in their latest round.

The platform supports SPF, DKIM, and DMARC authentication and provides a step-by-step setup guide. It automatically handles bounces, unsubscribes, and spam complaints. However, it does not offer dedicated IPs, IP warm-up guidance, or a dedicated deliverability dashboard, which more advanced senders may need.

Integrations and API

Constant Contact claims 300+ native integrations, covering major CRM, ecommerce, and productivity tools including Salesforce, Shopify, WordPress, WooCommerce, Outlook, and Gmail. It also integrates with Zapier for access to thousands of additional apps.
