LLC Formation + Business Identity
+ state fees
- Preparation and filing of Articles of Organization
- 1 full year of Registered Agent service included
- Operating Agreement draft
Northwest is our top pick for LLC formation. The $39 package carries a business address, domain, website, email, phone line and mail scanning, plus the filing itself and a year of registered agent service. Nothing is pre-checked. It is privately held, and the Corporate Guides know the state rules they are quoting. The dashboard is plain rather than polished. At $125 a year to renew, that is a fair trade.
Pros
- Flat $39 formation fee with no tiered packages or hidden add-ons.
- Full Business Identity included: business address, domain, email, website, and phone service.
- Free year of registered agent service with privacy protection.
- Free mail scanning (up to 5 documents) and renewal reminders.
- Same-day filing with no extra rush fees.
- U.S.-based Corporate Guides who actually answer the phone.
Cons
- Customer support is not available on weekends.
- Online cancellation process can be cumbersome.
- Trial digital services auto-renew if you forget to cancel.
Best For: Founders who want a complete business setup (formation, address, domain, email, website, phone) in one flat-fee package with no upsells.

do these formation services charge differently for washington or is pricing the same every state

Service fees are the same nationwide, what changes by state is the government fee they pass through, Washington's $200 is on the higher side. So compare services on their own fee and what the first year genuinely includes, the state cost is identical no matter who files it.

One correction to what I wrote above. Washington's state fee is $180, not $200. I was working from an old number. The rest holds. The service fee is the same wherever you file, and only the state portion moves. Washington sits mid pack on filing cost rather than high, and the yearly cost after that is a $70 annual report.

how much is an llc in washington state all in, the numbers online are all over the place

The state charges $200 to file online as I write this, then an annual report around $60 each year, check the SoS page for current numbers. The all over the place part comes from service packages stacking registered agent and extras on top, the state portion is just those two fees.

Coming back to correct my own numbers here. Washington's Certificate of Formation is $180, not $200. There is also an online processing fee the state does not name before checkout. The annual report is $70 now, not $60. It went up under WAC 434-112-085(7), and filed late it is $95. One more thing worth knowing. Your initial report rides along with the formation filing unless you tick the defer box, and deferring turns it into a $10 filing on a 120 day clock.
